Allan Bank is a National Trust property, it is more or less empty so is very different to most of the houses we visit. It is a short walk from the centre of Grasmere.
The poet William Wordsworth once lived here, I read some of his poetry while we were in what was his study.
There is a really impressive staircase in the middle of the house, you can see Paul in the background of this picture!
The house has amazing views down to the lake.
There are lots of activities you can do in the rooms, I even made friends with some sheep.
