We had another lovely sunny Bank Holiday weekend, and this time we went to Cheltenham. Zoë and Paul were celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary, but I went along anyway and they didn’t seem to mind.
We stopped in Evesham on the way and had a nice lunch. Zoë went to many charity shops and bought some random things.
When we arrived in Cheltenham the sun was shining and it was really warm, we decided to have a rest in the park and enjoy a gin and tonic.
We stayed at The Queen’s hotel, it is a Mercure like the one we stayed at in Manchester, we had quite a fancy room. I really liked the stairway as it was massive and has Pugin wallpaper that is 175 years old!
The hotel looks really impressive at night.
There was quite a lot of eating as usual! Here I am sharing Paul’s duck.
I really liked the cherries on the top of this Bakewell tart that I shared with Paul.
On Monday we went to a massive flea market. I didn’t buy anything but I did help Zoë to eat this massive pasty.
Now we are back home and it is raining, roll on the next adventure!
