Stage 2 of the Tour de France went from York to Sheffield. We caught the race at Cragg Vale.
Unfortunately Cavendish was out of the Tour after his crash on the first stage.
We saw the Caravan again, no freebies for me this time though.
It started to get exciting when the helicopters came over and we knew the race must be getting closer.
There was a breakaway of seven riders a couple of minutes ahead of the peloton.
It was very exciting when the peloton arrived and rushed by.
The support vehicles stopped by us on their way up the hill. This is a Team Sky car.
Here I am with Paul and Sam in their King of the Mountain hats, they got cool freebies!
We had a great day again and enjoyed the lovely countryside as well as the cycling.
I ended my day with an ice cream, much needed after all the sunshine.
