Lanhydrock in the Rain

It was very wet on Tuesday but we ventured out to the National Trust house Lanhydrock.

We arrived at lunchtime, Zoë and I had a jacket potato followed by apple crumble and custard. The restaurant had an open fire which helped to dry us out!

Lanhydrock is one of our favourite National Trust houses, there is so much to see, from the kitchens and servants areas to all the grand family rooms.

The most impressive room is the gallery. It is really long, has a beautiful ceiling and a fantastic collection of 17th century books.

We had a damp walk back to the car but it was a good day out.
