Sunday Scramble January 2020

It was a slightly chilly and damp Sunday morning when we headed to Bicester Heritage for the first Sunday Scramble of the new year.

It has been a while since I have been on the look out for Corvettes, but there were quite a few today. I especially liked the C7 Grand Sport.

Another highlight was an N gauge model railway in the back of a car!

It was really busy and there were lots of interesting cars to look at, here are a few that I particularly liked.

Sunday Scramble January 2019

For our first outing of 2019 Zoë, Pauly and I went to Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage.

I really liked this silver Lamborghini Espada. We love a chrome bumper Corvette C3. It is nearly 12 years since we sold ours and I still miss it.

Here is our car!

Sunday Scramble

We got up early on Sunday to go to Bicester Heritage for the Sunday Scramble car meeting. We saw loads of interesting cars looking glorious in the autumn sunshine. It was much nicer weather than when we came for Luftgekühlt back in July! It is a great setting, the cars look brilliant in between all the interesting buildings.

I will leave you with a picture of me with our car.

Pauly took me on an outing to look at lots of pretty air cooled Porsches at Luftgekühlt. This event has only been held in LA before, this one was at Bicester Heritage, much closer to home!

Unfortunately we had lots of rain after months of very hot dry weather, but it was still awesome!

Lakeland Motor Museum

We drove to the other end of Lake Windermere to visit the Lakeland Motor Museum. It was a wet day so being indoors was good!

It was an interesting museum with lots of cars.

I liked these pedal cars, still not quite my size!

The museum also had lots of collections of model and toy cars. I really enjoyed looking at them, and so did Zoë, she loves a good collection.

The final part of the museum was an exhibition about Donald Campbell and his record attempts. There were lots of Bluebird replicas to look at.

Corvette Show

On Sunday Paul took me to the Corvette Nationals. It was raining, but we still had fun at the show as lots of cars came out. We saw lots of pretty corvettes and a few other interesting cars.

We had a bite to eat, mmmm chips! Paul got to talk to lots of people he knew. It was a fun day out.
